We Made Something for Your Pet … And for You, Too

You know your pet. You know which side of the bed they claim as theirs. You know the difference between their “I hear something outside” bark and their “someone is actually here” bark. You know the exact moment in your packing routine when they figure out you’re leaving …and what that look costs you.

That knowing is something. And we thought it deserved a home.

Introducing the Pet Companion Profile

We built a short assessment, 10 questions, about 3 minutes … that takes everything you already know about your pet and turns it into something tangible: a named personality type, a care profile, and a free PDF report you can actually use.

Not a gimmick. Not a BuzzFeed quiz. A real tool, built around the kinds of questions we ask at every Meet & Greet about how your pet greets strangers, how they handle routine disruptions, what they do when they’re anxious, what kind of human they need in their corner when you’re away.

At the end, you get one of seven companion archetypes. Things like The Velcro Companion (devotion, not neediness.. there’s a difference), The Noble One (trust earned slowly, held forever), or The Devoted Homebody (home isn’t just where they sleep, it’s who they are).

Each profile includes what the personality means for their care when you travel. Because knowing your pet is one thing. Knowing what they actually need when you’re not there is another.

Why We Built This

We’ve done thousands of visits. And the families who hand off most gracefully, who actually leave fully, who don’t spend the trip with one eye on their phone … are the ones who know their pet well enough to communicate that to us.

The briefing packet a client leaves on the counter. The sticky notes around the house. The portal profile filled out with the kind of detail that makes a sitter feel like they’ve already met the dog.

That thoroughness isn’t extra. It’s everything. The Pet Companion Profile is our way of helping you articulate what you already know, and also helping us show up already understanding who your pet is before we ever walk through the door.

What You Get

These archetypes aren’t invented. They’re grounded in peer-reviewed animal behavior research and refined through years of caring for pets in their own homes.

When you finish the assessment, you receive:

  • A named archetype for your pet, with a personality description that we think is going to feel a little uncanny in the best way.
  • A care implications section specific to your pet’s type, outlining what kind of sitter energy they need, how transitions typically go for them, and what matters most for their well-being while you travel.
  • A free downloadable PDF report – yours to keep, share with your sitter, or tuck into that briefing packet you’ve been meaning to update.

One More Thing

If you’ve been thinking about booking or if you’ve worked with us before and your pet’s profile has evolved (they do), this is a good place to start.

Take the assessment. See what comes back. And if it feels like the right moment to book a trip and/

or update their profile, let us know! We’d love to meet them – or see them, again!
